A labour of love

I've been working with Oi! Trøndersk Mat og Drikke for over a decade now, and once a year I like to take a couple of days off my work to participate in their epic Food and Brewery Festival, in the heart of Trondheim.

The region has exploded as a food destination over the past ten years, and the festival is both representative and, in part, responsible for this growth. 100s of talented, passionate suppliers, farmers, producers, brewers, gatherers and growers, get together to show off their wares.

To be a small part of the process, taking photos and assisting with the communication, gives me an enormous sense of pride. Not just for the quality of the local ingredients and products, but all the people it takes to pull off such an event. It is a great passionate team, with a network stretching across the county. Long hard days, many memories, tired feet and over a decade of smiles.

Bountiful fjords, fields and fells

Ultimately it is about the land and the sea, and the products we harvest from them...

The people

And then it is about the people who are enjoying the craft. Capturing the moment and then reaction of the happy audience is where I come in.
