Food & Drink

From Britannia to Britanny and beyond; live action food imagery which gives not a just a snap of the plate, but a sense of the smell, feeling and meaning behind every dish. From stylised studio shoots to Michelin masterclasses to street food orgies. It's all about documenting the hunters, gathers and farmers behind the ingredients, as well as the chefs. Wallowing in the food in its original setting - this is my happy place.

The People

Sometimes I wonder whether I would be better suited as manicurist, so much time is spent admiring or admonishing chefs on the cleanliness of their fingernails. Our job as documentarists is to not interfere with with subject we are focussing on, but as any hack worth their salt will tell you, that is a nigh on impossible task. So, if you can't beat them join them, and there is nothing I dig more than getting my hands dirty. Whether it's helping out in the garden, joining a fishing boat on its dawn raids of the sea or just holding watch for a service in the kitchen... this is where the magic happens. These are the magicians I have the honour to work with.

The drinks

I love wine, I mean I REALLY love it. Drinking it, learning about it, photographing the product, interviewing the growers and creators, visiting the vineyards, collecting and sharing. It is my great pleasure that I get to work with this wonderful products, including travelling to and working with some of biggest and most innovative names in the industry. And it doesn't end there: I am also happy in the depths of a brewery or filming the harvest in our orchard. Drinks of all kinds, they lubricate our creativity, open our minds (occasionally!) and provide such an interesting landscape.
